I work as a performance artist and filmmaker.  I am interested in bringing attention to the endless conflict between human beings and their environment. My art seeks to highlight the destructive impact of individual and collective activity and the alienation we exhibit against the natural world.

I use humor and imagination in my art practice. For example, I sometimes portray surreal stories of imagined events. In a recent film, the water bear, famous for having survived three mass extinctions on earth, is left to carry on long after human beings become extinct. I dress up in a homemade polar bear costume and push a 150 pound block of ice through urban environments in San Francisco and New York.  I have also filmed myself in the guise of an American grizzly bear walking among crowds in downtown Tokyo.
